But what you’re really paying for is something much harder to quantify:
The seamlessness of the experience.
The feeling that someone has already thought ten steps ahead for you.
The relief of not having to coordinate every detail yourself.
The ability to fully relax into the adventure instead of constantly managing it.
And truthfully? That’s the part that surprised me most.
So if you’re wondering what Adventures by Disney includes — and whether the experience feels worth the price — here’s a real look at what was included on our Australia adventure and why those details made such a difference.
Does Adventures by Disney Include Airfare?
This is one of the most common questions people ask.
The answer is:
International (or domestic) airfare to and from your destination is typically not included in Adventures by Disney pricing.
For our Australia trip, we booked our flights from the United States separately. Guests can either arrange airfare on their own or work with Disney’s flight team to add flights onto their vacation package.
However, many Adventures by Disney itineraries do include internal transportation once your adventure begins — and that made a huge difference on our trip.
For example, our Australia itinerary included:

✨ A second flight from Melbourne to Sydney
Having those flights coordinated for us was amazing.
And we talked about how powerful and supportive that would be if we were in a country we’d never visited before and didn’t speak the language.
Instead of researching airlines, worrying about timing, coordinating airport transfers, or wondering if we’d planned enough buffer time between experiences… it was simply handled.
And what surprised me most was how smooth it all felt.
Our Adventure Guides walked us through exactly what we needed to know, what time to meet, where to go, and what to expect. Bags were coordinated, transportation was waiting, and the entire experience felt incredibly seamless.
It removed so much invisible stress from the trip.
Are Meals Included With Adventures by Disney?
Yes — many meals are included with Adventures by Disney, though it varies slightly by itinerary.
On our Australia adventure:
✨ Breakfast was included every single day (even the extra pre-night we added before the adventure officially began)
✨ Many lunches were included
✨ Many dinners were included
✨ Some meals were intentionally left open so we could explore on our own
Adventures by Disney strikes a really thoughtful balance here.
Because yes, it’s wonderful having so many meals handled for you. But having occasional free evenings — especially in incredible food cities like Melbourne — also gave us the freedom to explore restaurants and experiences we personally felt excited about.
One thing I absolutely did not expect to love as much as I did?
Pre-selecting meals ahead of time.
On our first day, we received a QR code that allowed us to calmly select five our meals in advance from our hotel room instead of making rushed decisions at the restaurant itself.
It sounds like such a small thing.
But when we arrived to the restaurants a few days later, everything just… flowed.
No waiting around.
No pressure to decide quickly.
No trying to read a giant menu while distracted by conversation or feeling tired after a full day of adventuring.
We simply sat down and enjoyed the experience.
That became a recurring theme throughout the trip:
The beauty of not having to constantly make decisions.
What Transportation Is Included With Adventures by Disney?
This is one of the areas where Adventures by Disney truly shines.
Throughout our trip, transportation felt incredibly smooth and thoughtfully coordinated.
Our adventure included:
✨ Private airport transfers
✨ Luxury transportation to and from hotels
✨ Motorcoach transportation between activities
✨ Internal flights between destinations
✨ Transportation for excursions and adventures
✨ Boat, rail, and specialty transportation experiences
When we arrived in Cairns, we were greeted by a private driver at the airport. And on our final day in Sydney, we had a luxury private transfer back to the airport as well.
Between adventures, comfortable motorcoaches transported us whenever activities weren’t within walking distance of the hotels.
And because the hotels themselves were centrally located and highly walkable, there were also many opportunities to simply step outside and explore.
One of the biggest “luxury” surprises for me wasn’t flashy at all.
It was baggage handling.
On travel days, our luggage was coordinated onto the motorcoach for us. After flights, our bags were collected at baggage claim and later delivered directly to our hotel rooms while we were already out enjoying the next experience.
That level of support may sound small… until you’ve experienced traveling through multiple cities without constantly dragging luggage through unfamiliar places.
It created so much ease.
Are Excursions and VIP Experiences Included?
Yes — all scheduled excursions and activities on our Adventures by Disney itinerary were included.
And this is where the experience really began to feel different from many other guided vacations.
There weren’t constant surprise upcharges or moments where we arrived somewhere only to hear:

Instead, the major experiences were already built into the adventure.
For us, that included things like:

The Park Hyatt Melbourne, in particular, felt deeply luxurious with enormous rooms, a beautiful soaking tub, and one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve ever had.
In Sydney, our hotel overlooked the Sydney Opera House — one of those surreal “I can’t believe this is real life” views that instantly becomes part of the memory of the trip itself.
What I appreciated most was that the hotels weren’t just random places to sleep.
They were positioned intentionally:

✨ Easy access to experiences
✨ Beautiful surroundings
✨ Comfortable places to recharge between adventures
Again, it all contributed to the feeling that every detail had been thoughtfully considered.

Then they’d send a text recap afterward so we didn’t have to remember every detail ourselves.
I jokingly told people that I got to “check my brain out” on this trip.
