[Honest Review] World of Color Happiness Dessert Party
[Honest Review] World of Color Happiness Dessert Party
World of Color – Happiness is a nighttime spectacular at Disney California Adventure Park, located at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. This water, light, music, and projection show takes place on Paradise Bay and that explores happy during a fun-filled joyride.
We experienced the World of Color – Happiness Dessert Party for the first time on June 4, 2025. Here’s an honest review, and my recommendation on whether this premium viewing experience is worth it for your next visit.
Reservations and Check-In:
You can make reservations up to 60 days in advance via the Disneyland app and payment will be due at time of booking. While this show and the dessert parties are popular, they aren’t as quick to sell out as other highly sought after reservations so you don’t need to grab them right at 6am Pacific. You still want to reserve ASAP to get the party and show time you want.
2025 brought us much a much simpler and more comfortable check in process. 2 hours before your seating time, head into the app and check yourself in online. The process is easy and asks you a few simple questions. Then, around 15 minutes before your seating time, you can wander over towards Paradise Bay and wait for a text that your table is ready.
So much smoother than previous years where you’d have to check in an hour early and then stand in line waiting to be seated!
10/10
Seating:
Seating is assigned based on the order you checked in on the app, so the sooner you check in the better chance you have for great seats toward the center of the show. No matter where you sit, you’ll be so much more comfortable than the standing areas.
There are two types of tables: high tops and low tops. I prefer the high top because it puts you a little higher than the front row, but choose what’s more comfortable for you and your group.
You enjoy your dessert and get to stay at your table and in your seat for the duration of the show. A sweet date night and relief for tired feet!
Service:
Friendly and fun! We were offered water and sparkling wine right away. A server came around with hot chocolate, too. Our server checked on us a few times and even asked which collectable pins we’d gotten! He made sure we had everything we needed before the show started and brought us a bag to take our leftovers.

Beverages:
Sparkling Wine
Delicious!
10/10
Hot Chocolate
Tasted like real, homemade, not from a powder
10/10
Mocktail
Sweet, tasted like fruit punch.
8/10
Food:
Comes in a beautiful box, so much better than previous years when served on a plate, then the server had to come back around with to-go boxes for your leftovers. We never felt rushed and could enjoy the food at our pace. The regular box includes:
Artisan charcuterie and cheeses with seasonal jam and crackers
Assorted freeze-dried fruit
World of Color-themed fruity crème macarons
Mini cupcake topped filled cookie cups
White chocolate drizzled fruity crisped rice treats
Zesty lemon cake with candied citrus wedge
It was surprisingly a LOT and almost every single thing was delicious. The fruity rice treats were super sweet and the filled cookie cups were good, not great. The charcuterie was excellent and filling.
9/10 for the sweets
10/10 for the charcuterie
Allergy friendly options are available. I had the almond and peanut free offering and it was sooooo good! Some of those treats were even more delicious than the regular offer. Also a HUGE improvement over a few years ago when they brought me a giant plate of fruit.
10/10
The Show:
The new Muppets pre-show is delightful and funny. The story, music, and visual effects during the main show are absolutely stunning and heartwarming. Having a comfortable spot to relax and watch makes the experience far more enjoyable overall.
Overall Rating & Recommendation:
If you want to watch the World of Color this is an absolute 10/10 must-do at least once.
